Suburban Enterprises is looking for an Account Manager who will drive customer relationships and sales with a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and analytic skills to understand the customers’ needs by speaking their language through trust and commitment.   • Complete ownership of developing and implementing sales strategies that lead to increase satisfaction, customer retention, and increased sales for strategic accounts.
  • Build loyalty and strengthen Suburban’s position with strategic accounts by understanding customers’ objectives and needs; effectively applying the breadth of Suburban’s services to meet the customers’ needs.
  • Owns leading and coordinating sales efforts from conceptual design and planning through the contract and work completion, to ensure achievement of assigned objectives and company goals.
  • Develop an accurate, detailed, and comprehensive written strategy and account plan for each strategic account.
  • Constantly educate and reinforce how Suburban’s services translate into value and benefits for strategic accounts.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customers’ business, wants and needs, and speak their language; develop loyalty, trust, and commitment.
  • Build customer relationships through credibility and consistency. Make sales calls on customers and prospects at a frequency that will place Suburban in the preferred position.
  • Highly responsive when called upon to address individual needs or opportunities, internally and externally.
  • Facilitates relationship between strategic account leadership and Suburban personnel.
  • Coordinate account initiatives with pre-construction and operations teams; plan and lead meetings to lay out action plans with all key stakeholders including Suburban senior leaders.
  • Maintain all information in CRM for the account.
  • Evaluates, studies, and anticipates market conditions, trends, and competitors by engaging various members of the value chain and other primary or secondary data sources.
  • Participates in relevant industry groups, organizations, business journals, government regulation, and trade shows to stay abreast of market insights and help expose higher thinking and competitive advantage.
  • Prepares and facilitates presentations to diverse audiences, including owners, C-level, general contractors, engineers, and architects, adapting to personality differences and various levels of technical comprehension.
  • Supports monthly forecasting and annual strategic planning process by evaluation of selected accounts and associated opportunities. Aid accurate invoicing, change orders, and collections.

  • Knowledge in current industry software and practices
  • 5+ years in account management/sales position or relevant experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
