Automation Control Technician III

Our Automation Division is looking to add several experienced Controls Technicians to the team. In this role, you will perform field service, field calibration, systems repairs, and other necessary services to support the life cycle of the control systems. This role will be the main support of the hardware/technical team and help with troubleshooting, maintaining, and coordinating automation-related systems.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Install and test new automation control equipment including mounting enclosures, terminating wiring, programming modifications, and verifying operation.
  • Modify existing automation systems per customer requirements.
  • Provide customer support by phone and onsite, resolving simple to complex issues with a variety of manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
  • Assemble and build electrical control panels.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Write service reports and other related documents.
  • Recommend parts for new installation or replacement purposes.
  • Create and modify programmable logic controller (PLC) programs.
  • Create and modify human-machine interface (HMI) programs.
  • Modified SCADA systems.
  • Install and commission robotic systems.
  • Create BOM for medium size projects.
  • Create electrical schematics for medium size projects.
  • Lead the installation of large projects with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members.
  • Be a leader in the automation department.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automated Manufacturing.
  • Preferred 7+ years of experience.
