Automation Division Manager

Suburban Enterprises, Inc. is looking for an Automation Division Manager to drive our organization’s bigger picture and strategic goals. This position requires an ability to get things done quickly while achieving results. The ideal candidate will be an action-oriented problem solver. Are you up for the Challenge?


  • Responsible for all interactions with customers
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining the account plan
  • Move customer through the stages of strategic account management
  • Understands how the building is being constructed and works with the various trades on coordination to include (civil, structural, architectural, concrete, steel, plumbing, mechanical, communications, and electrical safety and security)
  • Maintain the company’s professional image with distributors, vendors, owners, design professionals, and the general public
  • Develop strong relationships with the customer to ensure customer expectations are being met
  • Introduce and leverage all services to the highest degree possible
  • Responsible for timely and accurate exchange of all communications for internal team members and external customers
  • Develop division budget and enforce its compliance and responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing, change orders, and collections
  • Responsible for internal communication of customer expectations
  • Develop additional market and revenue opportunities
  • Evaluate current and anticipated workload to maintain appropriate staffing
  • Understand clients’ requirements and develop compatible processes to meet those requirements
  • Demonstrated management and leadership ability


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience; preferably an emphasis on Electromechanical Technology, Instrumentation, and/or Controls Engineering Technology
  • 10+ years of manufacturing or controls experience
  • 5 years of experience managing people and projects
