Suburban Automation is looking for a Automation Technician II that is skilled in troubleshooting and executing projects, while also having strong customer service skills and always demonstrates integrity and quality. The ideal candidate will lead and perform the job through drive, teamwork and determination. Suburban’s Automation Division delivers high-quality products and services to our customers. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Advanced in programming, basic design, and troubleshooting different devices and systems including PLCs, HMI, Motion Control Systems and more
  • Installs, problem solves, and repairs devices such as sensors, relay logic, controls, etc.
  • Necessary understanding of Rockwell Software and Allen Bradley components
  • Ability to use multiple software platforms at a level to perform online troubleshooting, system modifications, and commissioning of manufacturing systems and components
  • Can troubleshoot, install, maintain, repair, program, and specify for new installation or replacement of AC and DC drives
  • Actively engages in and recommends ideas to improve project and department productivity
  • The ability to manage multiple projects by developing and executing plans to meet the customer’s needs

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Industrial Maintenance Certificate or an Associate Degree in related field or 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance position; or equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial controls
  • State journeyman’s or master license, desirable
  • This position may require the use of a company vehicle. If so, the ideal candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record that allows the company to insure them under Suburban’s policies. The ideal candidate must also carry auto liability insurance and will be subject to Suburban’s policy concerning company vehicles
