Fire Alarm Inspector


  • Fire Alarm inspections and testing.
  • Fire Extinguisher inspections and testing.
    • Hydro-static testing and recharge.
  • Security Alarm Inspections.
  • CCTV cleaning.
  • Provide and explain deficiencies.
  • Offer recommendations based on findings.
  • Complete documentation and submittals for customers and AHJ’s.
  • Coordinate with team on schedules with ability to be flexible.
  • Assists service as needed.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Build relationships with customers and teammates in a professional and personable manner.
  • Actively listen to the needs of customers.
  • Develop customer service standards.
  • Offer recommendations for deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with Account Manager team to provide estimates when needed.
  • Survey’s opportunities and communicates them with the Account Management team.
  • Basic troubleshooting and installation of fire alarm system components.



  • Can recognize future opportunities or additional work. Brings this information to supervisor or salesperson’s attention.
  • Maintains a professional, courteous, and helpful disposition when communicating with a customer, general contractor, or another subcontractor.

  • Always adheres to all safety policies and practices. Wears steel toed shoes, hardhat, gloves, and safety glasses on all job sites.
  • Learn to complete toolbox talks and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms as directed.
  • Possesses current CPR and First Aid certification or can obtain certification shortly after start date.
  • Complete OSHA 10.
  • Understand and complete site-specific safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) if applicable.
  • NFPA70E training.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to zero accidents and every accident is preventable through training, risk prevention, and continuous improvement.




  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2 – 5 years of technical experience in electronics or telecommunications.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
  • Knowledge and experience related to the maintenance of Fire Alarm, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and convey our products and services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time management and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated PC skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and other industry-related software).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Accurate and effective record keeping skills to complete forms and documentation required for the various tests.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and self-assured style.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct.


  • NICET 1, Fire Alarm Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • NFPA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
