Traveling Industrial Electrician

Suburban is looking for a Traveling Industrial Electrician to produce high-quality electrical results. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is precise and able to complete projects and make decisions quickly. This position requires an individual who is focused on time management and able to manage multiple responsibilities in an accurate and organized matter. Are you up for the challenge?

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Installs all electrical equipment, devices, and materials per the project’s OSHA Safety standards, National Electrical Code, and the requirements of state and local authorities
  • Is efficient in running NEMA I and NEMA 12 Wireway, pulling wire and communication cables, bending, threading, and installing rigid conduit
  • Has the ability to complete advanced paperwork, and able to read blueprints, schematics, and change orders
  • Is able to adapt to meet individual customer needs to provide alternative solutions when obstacles arise
  • Works together with a team to ensure the project is completed within budget and timeline while assuring quality workmanship
  • Required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, lift heavy objects, crouch, or crawl, and work overhead
  • Must exemplify a zero safety accidents mindset by participating in JHA’s, toolbox talks, and related safety procedures
  • Willing to continue education in obtaining multiple state credentials
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with opportunities for overtime

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of five years of steady experience in the electrical industrial field
  • A current state Journeyman’s License or willing to get state license preferred
  • 80% travel is required including the ability to work overnight, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns
