The Role – Pre-Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated Pre-Apprentice to support our team with basic electrical tasks and on-site assistance. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in developing a career in the electrical trade. Responsibilities include assisting with wiring, conduit installation, material handling, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship from licensed electricians, and opportunities for growth within the company.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic about work.
  • Seek out work when assigned tasks have been completed.
  • Work well with others and exhibit a desire to please customers and supervisors.
  • Meet or exceed expectations of supervisors regarding tasks, goals, hours, etc.
  • Ask questions and look for ways to advance your career.
  • Actively learn basic tasks, such as pipe bending, basic circuitry, trenching, wire pulling, blueprint reading, etc.

 

What You Bring (Required Experience)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation or must have access to reliable and efficient means of transportation to and from work sites.
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Must possess basic knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • The ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Bonus Points For (Preferred Experience)

  • One to three months of related experience and/or training are a plus, but not necessary.
