 OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:

  • Install all electrical equipment and material per the project’s requirements, National Electrical Code, and the requirements of state and local authorities. Ensures the quality of workmanship for these installations.
  • Responsible for handling customer contact of both internal and external customers and responding to their needs promptly – meeting their requests with a “can do” attitude.
  • Assists in training technicians while demonstrating the proper installation methods, customer communications and co-worker support.
  • Remains up to date on all applicable codes, installation methods and specific project plans and specifications.
  • Aggressively supports Project Manager in achieving greater productivity and efficiency, through a total team effort to ensure profitable projects.
  • Actively pursues further educational opportunities to learn additional information on theory, code, and practical installation methods. Shows measurable professional development results.
  • Demonstrates electrical and mechanical ability though job performance.

  • Demonstrates the ability to do overall job layout.
  • Demonstrates ability to consistently complete projects within budget, on time and in a safe manner.

SAFETY:

  • Always adheres to all safety policies and practices. Wears steel toed shoes, hardhat, gloves, and safety glasses on all job sites.
  • Ensures the safety of team members by taking direct preventive measures, conducting effective safety meetings, and ensuring all related standards, rules, and laws are understood and followed.
  • Possesses a good understanding of applicable OSHA regulations for construction projects.
  • Coaches’ others on the importance of safety, including team members, General Contactor’s, customers, and other trades.
  • Ensure compliance with all job safety standards established by Suburban Electric and all regulatory agencies. Examine and inspect work progress (site audits), equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.

 

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of five years’ experience.
  • Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to obtain certification shortly after the start date.
  • NFPA70E training.
  • Complete OSHA 30.
  • ARC Flash Training.
  • This position may require Team members to drive a company vehicle. If so, Team members must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record that allows the company to insure such individuals under the company’s insurance policies. Team members must also carry auto liability insurance. Team members will be subject to the Company’s policy concerning company vehicles.
  • Capable of leading a small crew (2 – 5 technicians/electricians) effectively.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team members of the organization.
  • Must possess basic knowledge in the use of a PC and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
