The Role – Business Development Representative

In this role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for high-level executive relationships with accounts, focusing on strategic engagement and business growth. You will set goals, develop sales and business plans, establish call strategies, and execute account management initiatives. What You’ll Do

  • Secure new and expanded business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship management, and sell additional company product offerings to existing client base.
  • Seek new business through follow-up of leads, the establishment of new contacts, periodic communication with former customers, the adoption of specific marketing strategies, and of existing related service offerings.
  • Develops and maintains close working relationships with customers and referral base.  Promote capabilities of Suburban Enterprises within key division market areas.
  • Target new customers based on verticals, relationship strategies, and marketing via professional organizations.
  • Establish strong market presences, growing customers, and sales revenue.
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong key relationships with the customer contacts by face-to-face on-site meetings, and regular proactive engagement.
  • Develop and define account strategies with focus on business opportunities, product portfolio, roadmaps, and market environment.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners, inside and outside of Suburban Enterprises, in solutions development as it relates services and programs sold. Work cross collaboratively with Account Managers to identify and respond to new business opportunities.
  • Gain deep understanding of customer’s business, wants and needs, and speak their language; develop loyalty, trust, and commitment.

 

What You Bring (Required Experience)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2 – 5 years of selling experience in Technology system sales.
  • Proven track record of developing new customers, new markets, and/or selling new services while consistently reaching or surpassing sales targets/quotas.
  • Experience managing sales processes via a CRM with an emphasis on building the sales pipeline.

 

Bonus Points For (Preferred Experience)

  • 5+ years in account management/sales position or relevant experience.
  • Experience in the Electrical, Technology, Automation, or Fabrication field.
